Anam Qudrat grew up in Toronto, Canada yearning to be an impetus of hope and positive change for her family and local community. She studied biomedical science and was mesmerized with the intricacies of the cell’s molecular machinery. Her project focuses on genetically engineering synthetic proteins to detect diseased cell states. Anam loves to both learn, and spread the joy of learning. In light of this, she participates in various science outreach programs, including Let’s Talk Science and Science Rendezvous. Always in search of a good challenge, Anam spends her spare time practicing landscape photography, programming, and learning the Arabic language.
