Judy Tran graduated from the University of Toronto in 2014 with a specialist in immunology and a major in human biology. During her time as a student, she conducted research in a variety of fields including rehabilitation sciences, innate immunity and autophagy, knowledge translation, and medical education. Judy has been actively involved with DEEP Summer Academy for many years in various roles, including as a participant while in high school, a volunteer, and an instructor. She has also been actively engaged in other programs offered by the Engineering Outreach Office, including Girls’ Jr. DEEP Saturdays and Jr. DEEP Saturdays. She is currently a student in the Medical Laboratory Science Advanced diploma and Clinical Research Associate Graduate certificate programs at The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences. Outside the lab, she is a member of the Toronto Planning Review Panel, volunteers at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and serves as the president of the Medical Laboratory Students’ Society (MLSS).
