Nazanin Khalili is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the field of smart polymers and composites, with a multi-disciplinary research focus on the design, fabrication, and optimization of flexible “smart electronic skins”. These smart materials have the ability to mimic the human skin in that they can feel and respond to their outside environment. Nazanin has a passion for teaching and she is well experienced as a teaching assistant in several university level courses with extremely positive feedback. Her courses include an integration of practice with theory by offering a variety of hands-on learning experiences. She also constantly strives for higher quality of teaching by bringing innovative approaches into the classroom. Nazanin spends her spare time giving back to the community as a dance assistant at a salsa school and volunteering at film festivals. She also likes to play tennis and practice Karate.
