Coding for Parents: 101
Get prepared for the new Ontario coding curriculum by building skills, knowledge and confidence.
U of T Engineering Outreach has designed a workshop for parents explaining the new Ontario coding curriculum and how parents can best support their children's learning.
These workshops are 90 minutes and explain what coding is, how it can be taught to students K-8 and breaks down the entire new coding curriculum for grades 1-8.
These workshops are perfect for both complete beginners; those looking to get a better understanding of the new coding elements of the revised math curriculum, and those just trying to keep up with their kids. If you are a parent/guardian of a student in kindergarten to grade 8 looking to better understand coding and how it is being taught under the new Ontario coding curriculum, these sessions are for you!
