Program Fee

Free!

A new workshop for parents and guardians of elementary-age students to build skills, knowledge, and confidence in STEM.

A pilot workshop for U of T Engineering Outreach's new program Orbit, this is a 2 hour session for parents and guardians where we will explore the basics of coding and the engineering design cycle.

Parents and guardians will get the opportunity to build their own skills and understanding, as well as learn how these topics are presented and assessed in schools.

Through these workshops, you will:

  • Be engaged in a range of STEM topics
  • Learn the basics of coding and how it is assessed in schools (and make your own video game!)
  • Learn to use the engineering design process to approach projects with your kids (or make cool stuff yourself!)
  • Meet like-minded parents interested in improving their STEM skills, with and without their children
